I had the following three serious charges laid against me: 1. Weapons dangerous to the Public (a knife) 2. Assault with a Weapon 3. Assault causing bodily harm. I first met Bradley Pearson in his office. The meeting lasted over three hours. Incidentally, I have a strong accent and tend to speak very fast. Many people tell me that they have difficulties understanding my accent. During the meeting, Mr. Pearson treated me with dignity and respect. Mr. Pearson listened to my story and asked proper questions. I left the meeting full of confidence in Mr. Pearson's abilities to represent me in court. At the trial, Mr. Pearson's relaxed demeanour in the court was luminous. Mr. Pearson`s approach in the cross examination of (the complainant) was brilliant in simplicity. Mr. Pearson's direct examination of me was very simple. He realized that I waited over nine months to tell my story. He asked me the proper questions that allowed me to tell the court the whole story. Mr. Pearson's closing arguments were brilliant in its simplicity. His summary of the facts to the court was very effective. In fact, he was so effective that the prosecutor in his closing arguments called (the complainant) "an asshole." The judge stated that based on all the facts in the court, he believed that I acted in self-defence. The judge dismissed the charges against me. Mr. Pearson was able to show the court the whole truth, in spite of the many difficulties. I will always be grateful to Mr. Pearson for defending me to the best of his abilities and for treating me with respect and dignity. I hope never to experience the criminal justice system again. If I am unfortunate to encounter anyone in a similar situation like I had or any other criminal situation, I would highly recommend Mr. Bradley Pearson. Thank you.
